German Masters: Kyren Wilson edges out Barry Hawkins in final

World champion Kyren Wilson edged past Barry Hawkins 10-9 in a dramatic German Masters final in Berlin.

It is the second time Wilson has won the tournament, after his 2019 victory, and is his ninth ranking title overall.

Hawkins had led 5-4 going into the evening session but Wilson, who was beaten by Shaun Murphy in the Masters final last month, made a strong start on Sunday evening.

Breaks of 93 and 125 helped him win three of the opening four frames, but Hawkins hit back to level the match at 9-9 and force the decider.

However, Wilson held his nerve to claim the trophy and £100,000 prize.
